Peer Support Partner
Job Details
The Peer Support Partner is responsible for emotional support, system education and advocacy, coordinating resources, connecting families within the community, and participating in building a support team. Position includes providing and/or arranging for health and wellness promotion services as part of the treatment/support plans, connecting families within the community, and participating in building a support team. Participates in Youth ACT team meetings.
The Assertive Community Treatment program serves youth ages 5-20 in Atlantic and Cape May Counties. The Program provides intensive and immediate access to treatment services and supports in youth and family’s home and community. A multidisciplinary mobile team is tailored to each youth and their family and through a family centered approach will focus on crisis stabilization and assisting the youth with improving functioning and symptomology of mental health and emotional concerns. Interventions will assist with enhancing family functioning and overall stability in the family home.

Full time

Education/Experience:
Required experience as caregiver or primary support person of youth with mental health or co-occurring behavioral health needs. Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in human service or related field with 2 years’ experience providing supports to caregivers of youth who have mental health or co-occurring behavioral health. NJ Peer Support Partner certification required.
