QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum 19 years of age.
2. College student and/or equivalent experience.
3. Interest, knowledge and skills in photography, videography, and social media.
4. Desire to work on a small team in a camp community.

GENERAL CAMP CHARACTERISTICS:

1. Camp serves approximately 700 campers per day from the entire Delaware Valley; predominantly Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Haddonfield & the Margate area.
2. We specialize in campers with food allergies: predominantly nut allergies.
3. We have a limited number of special needs campers, but everyone is welcome.
4. As a camp community, we strive to create a safe environment that fosters positive relationships for all campers and staff. Our program includes experiences that allow everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender identity, race, or sexual orientation, the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.

GENERAL (BROAD) RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tall Pines is looking for a summer, staff member for the summer to serve in the principal role as camp photographer and possible videographer. Approximately 30 hours per week. Transportation may be available from Philadelphia, South Jersey or New Jersey Shore points from Atlantic City to Ocean City.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Always expect surprises.
2. Work with Program Director and program staff to coordinate how special events will be photographed.
3. Attend orientation meeting for training.
4. Plan, with staff representatives for all camp programs (Camp Calendar) including special activities.
5. Learn office procedures and camp software program.
6. Schedule list of group photos, specialists, and activities.
7. Take an average of 100+ photos per day, download photos to server, and edit best photos for uploading to social media; Facebook and Instagram, as well as the Tall Pines APP.
8. Prepare limited amount of written content to accompany photos on social media platforms for review by Program Director.
9. Take group photos for camp wide Picture Day and prepare them for uploading to third party printing platform.
10. Take photos for eventual use in Tall Pines Day Camp’s annual Yearbook.
11. Take video of activities and special events.
12. Ability to edit video content and prepare for uploading to social media a plus.
13. Ability to operate Canon SX 40, SX 50, and EOS 70D for photos and videos.
14. Experience with drone photography is a plus.
15. Assist Program Director in implementing the camp program.
16. These are not the only duties to be performed.  Some duties may be re-assigned and other duties may be assigned as required.

Salary: Minimum $15.50 an hour (depending on year in school). Tax equivalent: Min. $17.25 per hour plus lunch.
