GLS Painters, an established and growing residential and commercial painting company is now accepting applications for a people-orientedoptimistictalkative individual to join our family. You will be working with an active, positive, and supportive team of people.

ABOUT THE JOB - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Estimating, Sales, and Lead Follow Up:

  • Persistently follow up with potential clients and open proposals according to our communication standards
  • Act on incoming leads generated by our internal marketing efforts, following up thoroughly
  • Visit with homeowners to discuss their project, develop trust, and uncover needs they have
  • Create instant, compelling, on-the-spot estimates and personally review with homeowners
  • Effectively identify and address customer concerns and provide just enough information for them to make great decisions
  • Accurately estimate projects' scope to ensure our production team hits profitability targets
  • Produce easily understandable work scopes for production staff with descriptions, photos, etc. for smooth transition

Networking & Brand Awareness:

  • Develop personal relationships with others in the community to develop enough referral partners and leads to hit our sales targets
  • Develop and adhere to a predictable and repeatable stay-in-touch communication plan
  • Use all downtime to effectively create opportunities within your network
  • Attend regularly scheduled networking events and business-building activities
  • Regularly and thoroughly update customer records to further increase relationship potential, including championing a CRM

Continuous Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with leadership team in the spirit of constant improvement of all processes and systems and win higher-margin and larger percentages of work
  • Provide daily/weekly feedback and reports on improving all systems, including those outside of sales responsibilities
  • Track all relationship, prospect and sales statistics, report to leadership team, and provide suggestions for improvements
  • Actively collect feedback from production staff in order to improve systems

Knowledge Transfer:

  • Assist with training and developing future sales professionals
  • Work collaboratively with production leaders to effectively pass off work in a productive way
  • Collaborate with other departments to accomplish larger company gross margin targets

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in business or marketing.
  • Experience in painting or construction industry highly desired.
  • 1+ years’ participation in advanced coaching or development in sales
  • Demonstrable work experience with increasing responsibilities and proven track record of successful sales / business development

SCHEDULE:

  • Flexible schedule depending on work demands and client needs.
  • General working hours are 7:00-5:00, Monday-Friday, but schedule will be set based on achievement of goals.
  • Evenings / weekend appointments may be required based on customer needs
  • Working mostly with clients in their homes, and networking events with referral partners throughout South NJ area
