Purchasing Agent


Essential Functions 

  1. Sourcing, negotiating, awarding and documenting purchases for materials and services in an ERP environment
  2. Compiling and analyzing data to perform price analysis as well as reviewing proposals to establish best total value
  3. Performing bid/proposal activities
  4. Interfacing with internal customers and suppliers to ensure that the materials/services are delivered on-time and in accordance with the specifications and quality notes documented in the Purchase Order
  5. Managing supplier performance to cost, schedule and quality requirements

 Education and/or Experience

  1. 3-5 years Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  2. Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents
  3. Time management and deadline driven skills
  4. Mechanical and/or Electrical experience - a plus
  5. Machine Shop or Metal Fabrication experience - a plus
  6. Strong computer skills
