The Arc of Atlantic County is looking for a Residential Manager for its group homes/supervised apartments. This individual will serve as the site manager and a role model for all staff and residents at the home. They will insure the overall health and safety of residents, helping them understand and exercise their rights to the fullest extent possible. They will provide training to residents in the development of independent living skills, including, but not limited to, social skills, meal preparation, money management, sexuality, and hygiene. 

Transportation of residents as required. Assure completion of fiscal and other documentation responsibilities. Provide supervision and training to Residential Assistant Manager and direct service staff in all areas of program responsibility.

The best candidate must be able to respectfully communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing with the people they support, all levels of staff, family members, medical professionals and those in the community. Must be able to use good judgment in dealing with individual issues/emergencies, as well as staff related issues. Must work well independently, have excellent initiation and follow through, and maintain a good working relationship with their supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate's Degree OR High School Diploma/Equivalent

Experience: 2-3 years experience working with adults with developmental disabilities

Other:

- Valid New Jersey driver's license (less than 5 points)

- Successful completion of all required training

- CPR & First Aid Certification

- Excellent computer skills/knowledge of Therap
