Safety Manager
Plans, directs, promotes and manages Safety & Security for Chelten House. Directs activiies in order to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property of the company and ensures total OSHA compliance. Assisits in the development of measureable safety performance objectives and supports the implementation of safety policies, processes, procedures and training programs in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administartion (OSHA) rules and regulations. Performs safety training for each new employee and all exisiting employees in order to meet OSHA and other regulatory agency requirements. Administers workers compensation activites including initial injury intervetion, injury reporting, medical management, and injury investigation. Chairs various safety meetings to discuss safety concerns and suggests to the committee ways to correct any safety concerns that have been identified. Comprehensive knowledge of occupational and safety standards, procedures, principles and practices, safety devices and PPE. Knowledge of federal and state laws and department regulations. Must ahve strong computer skills and effective oral/presentation and written communication skills including the ability to prsent ideas and/or facts and recommendations.Strong analytical, problem solving and follow up skills. Minimum of 5 years safety experience. Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
