EMR is currently hiring a highly motivated Staff Accountant! If you have experience in public accounting and manufacturing, are proficient with accounting software, and are eager to grow your career in a dynamic environment, this role is for you. This role will be worked 100% onsite at our US HQ in Camden, NJ.
As a Staff Accountant, you will support the accounting team, prepare financial reports, assist with month-end close, and gain exposure to high-volume, multi-stakeholder projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, assist with financial analyses, and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
Capital Project Tracking: Monitor and update fixed asset additions and transfers for capital projects.
Cash Accounting: Assist with daily cash functions and cash-related accounting processes.
Invoice Coding: Code invoices accurately in alignment with financial policies and procedures.
Ad-Hoc Reporting: Utilize Excel, Power BI, and other tools to generate reports and data analysis as requested.
Process Improvements: Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting tasks.
Accounts Payable Support: Provide support for the accounts payable process and manage vendor inquiries.
Project Management: Follow and execute structured processes and ensure the timely completion of project-based accounting tasks.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with management, finance teams, and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 1 – 3 years experience in public accounting in a manufacturing setting
Software Proficiency: Experience with D365 (Dynamics 365) is preferred. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, and Python is a plus.
Certification: A CPA certification is preferred but not required.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues.
Process-Oriented: Ability to follow structured processes and work efficiently within a project-based environment.
Good Communication: Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Follow-Up: Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow up on tasks and manage deadlines.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in public accounting and manufacturing.
