Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist
Kaye Personnel has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist for a company located in Philadelphia, PA.
We are looking for an experienced person who will be performing general accounting and processing payroll with a strong eye for detail. The key objectives for this position are to process payrolls, maintain financial records and general ledger accounts; prepare and analyze various reconciliations; and perform general bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and will have the ability to multi-task and prioritize simultaneous assignments with minimal oversight.
Shift: Monday- Friday 8:30 am- 5pm
Salary: $50k-$60k yearly (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Weekly payroll processing for 3 companies using Paylocity
- Multi State Sales Tax verifications prior to filings
- Tax filings for various states
- Record general and intercompany journal entries in Dynamics 365 and QuickBooks
- General Ledger account reconciliations and account analysis
- Initiate and record ACH and Wire Transfers
- Monthly closing duties, Participation in Physical Inventories
- Calculate financial data, Check data for recording errors, Compile data or documentation.
- Coordinate payroll activities.
- Distribute materials to employees or vendors.
- Enter information into databases or software programs.
- Maintain current knowledge related to work activities.
- Prepare documentation for transactions, or regulatory compliance.
- Prepare research or technical reports.
- Provide information to coworkers.
- Record personnel information.
- Train others in payroll procedures.
- Verify employee information
- Special projects, as assigned
- Provide your best effort in all company responsibilities and tasks you are assigned
Qualifications:
- BS or BA in Accounting
- 3-5 years experience with Accounting and Payroll Processing
- 3-5 years experience with ERP accounting systems- Dynamics AS or D365 a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere
- Productive and effective performance working in a group and independently
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Strong capacity for time management
- Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, independent drive to succeed
- Paylocity Experience is a plus
