Constellation Fitness is creating a new model of group fitness studio serving South Jersey offering kickboxing, strength training, yoga, and community events focused on connection and holistic wellness.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Strength Training Instructor is responsible for teaching to all levels and empowering members through a pre-planned class with encouraging instruction. The instructor will teach our Strength Lift format classes. These classes focus on form, strength, and power and do not incorporate intentional cardio. The instructor will promote and build positive relationships with members and provide options and variations that fit their needs, remaining committed to the organization’s core values. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES         

The position’s essential duties include the following:

  • Assumes responsibility for creating and instructing classes with the Strength Lift format with room for flexibility
  • Engages with members in a positive and impactful way to create a safe space, build relationships, and encourage retention
  • Identifies member needs and provides variations and options for movements as needed
  • Presents and explains the class schedule and membership options as needed
  • Assists members with accessing the website, downloading the app, booking classes/events, etc.
  • Announce specials, events, changes, etc. at the end of class to ensure all members are aware of goings-on and are up-to-date on the latest studio news
  • Maintains proper cleaning of the studio space as needed by wiping down equipment, sweeping/swiffering the floors, taking out trash, etc.
  • Promotes their classes and the studio via social media or amongst friends as applicable
Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • NASM/AAFA/ACE or other equivalent training certification
  • At least 3 months experience instructing strength training or personal training and creating classes
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to demonstrate, lift weights, and instruct for at least the hour class time

TIME REQUIREMENTS

  • Tuesday @ 5:45PM
