Duties:
The Substance Use Counselor provides individual and group interventions to consumers in an inpatient psychiatric program who have secondary substance use concerns. Able to work with consumers at varied stages of change. Has at least a basic understanding of classes of substances and how to provide support and interventions to consumers struggling with substance use. Able to work with interdisciplinary teams in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Understands demographic and cultural groups in Salem County and the surrounding area and can apply understanding to the use of interventions.
Hours:
Part-Time or Full Time is available. Hours are primarily during the weekday, but flexibility can be provided for evenings or weekends if needed by the candidate.

Education/Experience:
Active CADC or LCADC in NJ is in good standing. Previous experience providing groups is a must.
