Samaritan’s Volunteers to be Honored as Circle of Excellence Award Recipients for Enhancing the Lives of Samaritan’s Patients and Families through their Gifts of Time and Talent

Samaritan will hold its annual Celebration of Life Gala, presented by Holman Enterprises, virtually on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 7 p.m. The Gala, entitled Above and Beyond, is an annual celebration of Samaritan’s 40+ years of providing quality, compassionate care to more than 11,000 families annually throughout Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer counties.

Samaritan donors and volunteers continued their yearly tradition of giving in 2021, hosting their 21st annual Thanksgiving meal delivery, Giving Thanks Preserving Memories on Saturday, November 20. This year, Samaritan was able to supply 300 meals to 75 hospice families throughout the local community.

Samaritan invites community members to take part in its annual Tree of Life: Season of Light illumination program, a time to remember, recognize, and honor loved ones who are no longer with them in this physical world.

Samaritan, the not-for-profit healthcare provider offering hospice care, grief support, palliative medicine, and primary care at home has named Phyllis Lawrence as its new Vice President of Human Resources.

Samaritan recently announced that Jim Ewing, managing director and partner of Clarity Point Financial Partners, a Hightower Company, has been named as chair of its Planned Giving Committee.

Samaritan recently held their 31st annual golf tournament, “Drive FORE! A Good Cause.” A total of 176 golfers participated in this year’s event, held at Little Mill Country Club in Marlton, which raised funds and awareness for Samaritan’s not-for-profit services and 40+ years of service to the community.

Samaritan is honoring five friends and longtime “SamariTeens” volunteers who graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School this year. The teenagers, who began volunteering together as a group their freshmen year, remained active in their service throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Samaritan, a regional leader for hospice care based in Mount Laurel, announced it is collaborating with the American Heart Association and the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation to launch an Advanced Cardiac Care Program to address the leading cause of death in the U.S. — heart disease.
